We welcome thoughtful pitches about handwriting, journaling, stationery, and the small choices that shape writing by hand. A strong contribution gives readers a clear question to explore and a reason to care.
What we welcome
Pitch original reported or explanatory pieces about pens, paper, lettering practice, journal formats, or writing spaces. We are especially interested in specific comparisons, well-framed experiments, and approaches that help readers understand trade-offs without insisting there is one right choice.
Make the pitch specific
Send a short outline explaining the central question, what readers will take away, and why the subject fits the Penwright’s Almanac. Mention relevant experience only when it directly supports the proposed piece; do not send a full draft unless requested.
How to send it
Submit proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a working title and a brief summary, and let us know if the idea has been sent elsewhere or published before.
